DESCRIPTION:A candlelit evening of balance. We begin with a slow\, smooth Yang practice. A nourishing breath to movement flow that encourages the body and mind to ease\, preparing you for the stillness of Yin. \nThe second half of the evening is a yummy and grounding practice of Yin\, which consists of staying within poses for around 3 – 5 mins. Time encourages tension to release around the fascia body\, to help your body feel free. Don’t worry\, blocks\, blankets\, bolsters and cushions are there to make you feel supported. \nFor those who find stillness a struggle\, let me put your mind at ease. As I (Liv) provide you with meditative tools to help you find your peace with this subtle energy. \nI have a very good feeling\, you might have the best night sleep after this one. \nIf you are a beginner to yoga\, this class is still suitable as there are always alternative options\, but please notify me before class. \nIf you do have any known injuries\, please consult with your doctor first\, if all good\, please still make myself aware before we practice.

DESCRIPTION:This Winter Solstice day retreat is an opportunity to slow down\, soften and restore. \nTogether we honour the turning of the wheel and the deep stillness of this pivotal point. This is a sacred pause — a invitation to rest\, reflect and give thanks as we journey through the darkest day and begin to welcome the returning light.\nIf we allow it\, winter can teach us how to turn inward\, to release the weight of the year gone by and root down into the quiet wisdom within. This is your time to gently let go\, to be still\, and replenish. \nYou’ll be guided with care through a restful blend of traditional yogic practices\, including gentle movement (Asana)\, breathwork (Pranayama)\, mantra\, Yoga Nidra\, meditation and a soothing sound bath. \nA nourishing homemade lunch\, warm drinks and sweet treats will be served to delight and replenish the senses. \nWhether you’re an experienced practitioner or completely new to yoga you are warmly welcomed. I look forward to holding space for you to tend to the temple of yourself\, in alignment with the sacred stillness of midwinter. \nMy approach to yoga is that is can be accessible to anyone with the right guidance and props. There is no one ‘right’ way to move\, only what feels good in your body. I offer variations and support for all bodies. \nThe cost includes homemade lunch\, cakes and refreshments. I provide mats and all the props. You might like to bring your own blanket and/or cushion to get really cosy. Wear comfy clothing\, whatever that looks like for you – yoga clothes are whatever you feel comfiest in! Layers are best so you can take on and off as you need.
